Donna Mitchell serves as an Executive Assistant at Southern Securities Group, bringing more than two decades of experience in banking and financial services to the firm. With a strong background in private banking, commercial loan processing, and compliance, Donna brings extensive industry knowledge, attention to detail, and a client-focused approach to her role at SSG.
Donna began her career at BancorpSouth and later joined Renasant Bank, formerly The First Bank, in 2015. Throughout her career, she gained experience across several areas of the financial services industry, most recently working in TRID Quality Control within the Compliance department. Her diverse background and commitment to accuracy and service provide a strong foundation for supporting both the SSG team and the clients it serves.
A longtime resident of Petal, Mississippi, Donna comes from a close-knit family and is the daughter of a retired minister and prison chaplain. Family remains an important part of her life, and she is a proud mother and grandmother who especially enjoys spending time with her two young granddaughters.
Outside of the office, Donna is an active member of Central Baptist Church in Hattiesburg, where she serves in the choir and other ministry areas. She enjoys gardening, reading—particularly classic literature and daily devotionals—traveling, crafting, and spending time with family. Donna is also a dedicated Atlanta Braves fan and enjoys experiencing the arts, with New York City at Christmastime among her favorite places to visit.
