Robert C. “Buddy” Wiggins

Buddy was raised in Columbia, MS. He completed his undergraduate studies at William Carey and the University of Southern Mississippi. He then attended graduate school at the University of Mississippi and Mississippi State University. After graduate school, Buddy entered the commercial banking business and completed the School of Banking of the South at LSU. Following nine years in banking, he joined Carey Revels in what was to become Revels Securities Corporation, which later merged with Smith Barney in 1994. Buddy became the manager of the Hattiesburg office and served in that position through Smith Barney’s acquisition of the Legg Mason brokerage business until he and Marcy left to form Southern Securities Group, LLC in 2008.

Buddy and his wife Shannon are members of Main Street United Methodist Church in Hattiesburg. They are kept very busy with their six grandchildren.
